This board is used, showing normal signs of use. It is one of our demonstration boards used for testing.

It is well-maintained, sharp, and waxed as seen in the photos. No scratches, chips, or machining marks. I would rate its condition as very good.

Sims ATV is the all-terrain team's favorite board. This board works well in any conditions and terrain. As the name suggests, the ATV is a legendary board that rides on everything. It grips edges strongly, changes edges excellently, and with its long tips, it performs well not only on hard slopes but also off-piste. A great board for someone who ventures into difficult terrain, as it eases many challenges. Also great for someone not too confident on steep, hard slopes. The ATV helps immensely in such areas, offering great confidence. A board for intermediate and highly skilled riders.

The ATV rides on the SIMS MOD 3 core, a blend of North American poplar and high strength-to-weight ratio bamboo, with two parallel bamboo strips running from tip to tail under the insert pattern. Two carbon strips, our Double I-Carbon Wide arrangement, run alongside, outside the bamboo strips. We cover the ATV with our Tri-Tex fiberglass laminate, our most advanced matrix used in top SIMS boards. These combined elements provide plenty of pop and smooth rebound when turning, regardless of conditions. A classic, powerful design.

Flexible Thin Tip technology reduces material at the board ends, providing less swing weight during rotations. Snake Bite Tech 1.8 mm grips upwards with four extra contact points in the heel and toe zones, offering the rider better edge hold and confidence in icy and hard conditions. The ATV rides on the SIMS Premium Racing Base, our fastest base option.

Traditional camber

A single convex arc between the board's contact points provides predictable edge hold, pressure, and rebound during rider pressure application and release when turning.

MOD 3

A blend of North American poplar and high strength-to-weight ratio bamboo provides the drive properties of this core. We increased bamboo thickness to enhance this core's strength and energy.

Tip to tail construction

This traditional construction features a full wood core from tip to tail, providing smooth ride, stability, and durability.

Flexible Thin Tip board ends

This weight-saving technology reduces material at the board's tip and tail, resulting in less "swing weight," making rotations and tricks easier and faster to execute.

Sintered Premium Racing Base

This base utilizes high-density, high-speed base material chosen for its molecular weight, providing unmatched speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax permeability. 

Tri-Tex Fiberglass

Our most advanced matrix is a 3-directional layout combining lightweight fiberglass at 0°, 45°, and 90°, providing unparalleled pop, rebound, flexibility, and torsion in our highest-performing boards.

Double Carbon Strips

Two carbon strips running from tip to tail down the core's middle enhance cross stiffness, offering better response, pop, and control.

About the manufacturer.

Sims snowboards is a legendary company founded in 1963. It was created by Tom Sims, who also created the first snowboard and snowboarder. He carved out the first halfpipe, lobbied the skiing community to let us on the lifts, organized the first competitions, and built the first professional Team (Tom, Craig Kelly, Kidwell, Salasnek, Palmer). His visions are today's snowboarding. 

Even in the 1960s, Tom Sims explored ideas of combining skateboarding and surfing with snow. In his school workshop in seventh grade in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Tom hand-built the first snowboard. This board is now displayed at the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum in Vail, Colorado. In 1963, Tom founded the SIMS brand, probably the first surf, skate, and snow brand in the world. 

Not skiing, but surfing and skateboarding. These were Tom's roots and informed his entire approach to snowboarding. The distinction was crucial. For SIMS, it was always about freestyle and fun. Not scoring points. And growing out from this utopian vision of self-expression through radical means, the culture flourished. 

From the beginning, Sims relied on riders to guide and develop every product. This DIY inclusive approach set standards, enabling progress in everything from construction and manufacturing breakthroughs to technological and product innovations that changed paradigms. The first board with metal edges, the first pro model; first dual strap bindings, first folding highback, first women's board, and so on. Through decades. Today, SIMS exists to celebrate the past, support the progress of the present, and push snowboarding forward into the future.
