Sims Macrodose is a macro dose of adrenaline and joy of riding. This new, exciting board was created in collaboration with John Jackson, tailored to his needs, applications and requirements. We receive a complete board, a freeride board that performs brilliantly off-piste but also a missile that can ride fast on slopes, or an excellent carver with strong edge grip and high dynamics. The Macrodose has a directional shape, fairly high flex, but this board works in such a way that the pop assists even at lower speeds. A short turning radius with the board's high power makes sliding and carving turns easier. The board perfectly enhances turns, without needing high speed or wide slopes to enjoy pure carving turns. It offers very strong edge grip, which helps on all kinds of icy terrains when off trails. When you move from powder to ice, you don't land on your back. This support is also needed on steep slopes, couloirs or traverses. Lift in powder is good even at low speeds. The rear of the Macrodose is narrower, pointed, and very aggressively turned up. It's easy to sink in powder. The front, on the other hand, is gently curved, wide, and rounded, all to prevent it from burying so that riding in powder resembles surfing.  

What is special about the Macrodose, what is most important, is its immense power, meaning the pop that this board generates upon flexing. Pop is what makes the joy of riding greatest and everything becomes easier. There's a lot of pop here. Importantly, it is easy to extract. So we use it in many situations. Easier turning on steep slopes, faster edge changing, better carving, easier breaking of the board from the edge, and much greater riding dynamics. With the Macrodose, there's never a dull moment.         

Profile - Pow Camber

In this proprietary construction, the highest point of the camber arc is set back from the center. A slight rocker at the nose contact point provides directional balance, offering unmatched float and control in deep snow.

Core - MOD5

By incorporating beech wood, which has excellent heat resistance, water resistance, a high strength-to-weight ratio, and flexibility on both sides, this core offers a significantly better response when transitioning from edge to edge.

Tip to Tail Construction

This is a traditional construction featuring a full wood core from tip to tail, providing smooth riding, stability, and durability.

Sintered Premium Racing Base

This base uses a high-density, high-speed base material selected for its molecular weight, offering unparalleled speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax absorption. 

Flexible Board Tips

This weight-reducing technology decreases the material amount at the board's tip and tail, resulting in lower "swing weight", making rotations and tricks easier and faster.

Tri-Tex Fiberglass

This is our most advanced matrix; a 3-directional setup combining lightweight fiberglass at 90 ̊, 45 ̊, and -45 ̊ degrees, ensuring unmatched pop, rebound, flex, and torsion in our highest performance boards.

Double Carbon X

Two layers of carbon in an X profile underfoot extending to the tips and tails provide excellent pop, stability, and effective power transmission from edge to edge, making this construction one of our most versatile and responsive anywhere on the mountain.

Sims snowboards is a legendary company founded in 1963. It was created by Tom Sims, who also created the first snowboard and snowboarder. He dug the first halfpipe, lobbied the skiing community to let us on to lifts, organized the first competitions, and built the first professional Team (Tom, Craig Kelly, Kidwell, Salasnek, Palmer). His visions are today's snowboarding. 

In the 1960s, Tom Sims was already exploring ideas for combining skateboarding and surfing with snow. In his seventh-grade school workshop in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Tom hand-built the first snowboard. This board is currently on display at the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum in Vail, Colorado. In 1963, Tom founded the SIMS brand; likely the world's first surf, skate, and snow brand. 

Not skiing, but surfing and skateboarding. Those were Tom's roots and they informed his entire approach to snowboarding. The distinction was crucial. For SIMS, it was always about freestyle and fun, not scoring points. And growing out of this utopian vision of self-expression through radical actions, the culture blossomed. 

From the very beginning, Sims relied on riders to guide and develop every product. It is an inclusive DIY approach that sets the standard, enabling progress in everything from construction and production innovations to technological and product breakthroughs that changed the paradigm. The first board with metal edges, the first pro model; the first double-strapped bindings, the first foldable highback, the first women's board, and so on. Over decades. Today, SIMS exists to celebrate the past, support progress in the present, and push snowboarding forward into the future.
