For whom: Caldera is a board full of surprises. It appears to be a great powder board at first glance, and it is, especially excelling in open terrain, in deep snow at higher speeds. The split tail provides two support points, ensuring excellent straight-line stability. This split acts like a channel expelling snow. It's excellent in deep snow. But the Caldera is primarily a superb carving board. Its broad shape allows for deep turns. With great grip even in very hard conditions, you gain confidence in the board. You'll ride boldly on the steepest slopes with ease. The long turning radius allows for euro carves, but there's no problem to push the Caldera and also make nice tight cut turns. The carving radius is entirely up to the rider. The board has a good grip because of its rich construction. The core generates significant power, dampening vibrations. It's a true masterpiece, with an X of rigid Paulownia inserted into a pre-milled slot in the classic core. It's all wrapped in carbon fibers and lightweight nylon. The base installed is the famed, sporty Electra. The fastest possible graphite sintered base used in professional sports. Rarely seen in snowboarding, only in equipment for athletes, and not always. I recommend the Caldera to anyone looking for a carver and a board for deep snow. Regarding skills, while it will serve well as a learning carving board, outside of trails, due to the significant tail, it requires somewhat more advanced skills.

As you probably know, a caldera is formed by the collapse of a volcano

TORSION CONTROL Core - poplar and paulownia core with X-Wood technology and horizontal pads under the bindings, provides maximum edge-to-edge control without losing overall torsional flexibility.
