Flux NGR-LACE for the season 2026/2027 is an absolute novelty from the Japanese manufacturer's stable. This model was created with the close involvement and direct supervision of the legend of Japanese snowboarding, Koji Nakai (hence the abbreviation NGR referring to the Nagare Stix project). Designed from scratch, the boots focus on the essence of freeride riding – combining the freedom of natural movement with uncompromising technologies that facilitate climbing and surfing in the deepest powder.

• Traditional lacing with progressive geometry: The model focuses on classic laces, considered by advanced backcountry riders to be the most reliable and flexible solution. The design offers zonal adjustment of pressure that does not limit the natural movement of the ankle joint when riding in difficult terrain.
• Balanced, universal Flex (5/10): Designed to offer the ideal golden mean – medium flex rated by the manufacturer at 5 out of 10. It is not a clunky, stiff boot; the construction ensures smooth movements and allows you to feel the board under your feet while providing reliable support during fast riding in powder.
• Vibram® Megagrip Sole: A significant innovation in this product segment. The sole features an advanced rubber compound Vibram Megagrip which guarantees almost magnetic grip on slippery rocks, ice, and during challenging climbs (splitboarding/hiking). It also reduces vibrations and integrates perfectly with the binding base plate (especially with the new Flux NGR MF-10 binding model).

• Comfort without compromises (Rider-Driven Design): During months of testing in the harsh climate of Hokkaido, Koji Nakai focused on three pillars: wearing comfort, maximum ease of board control, and convenience while walking. The construction eliminates any pressure points over the arch.
• Flatbed System Technology: The outsole and inner insole have been optimized to reduce excessive, abrupt reactions from over-extensions of the foot. This allows for deep, smooth flexion of the knees and hips – desired during technical freeride riding.
• Internal liner with microclimate technologies: The inner boot uses advanced Japanese thermal insulation materials and antibacterial paper fibers (F DRY and F GRID Liner), which quickly absorb sweat, preventing feet from getting cold even in sub-zero temperatures.
