Telos DST Carbon Splitboard from season 2022/2023 (DST stands for Direct, Directional, Dual-Swallow-Tail) is one of the lightest and most technologically advanced splitboards on the market. Repeatedly awarded the prestigious Editors' Choice by Backcountry Magazine, this Carbon version has been slimmed down to the absolute minimum (weight for size 158 is just about 2.67 kg!). This provides enormous energy savings during demanding skitouring ascents while maintaining substantial support during descents in technical high mountain terrain.

• Directional Shape with Dual-Swallow-Tail: Directional design with a gentle functional cut at the back of the board. In deep powder, it allows the tail to submerge naturally and the front of the board to lift effortlessly. Importantly, this shape is designed to maintain the longest possible straight effective edge during ascent in "ski" mode, which drastically eases traversing on icy slopes. 
• Hybrid Pow Camber Profile (Setback Camber): Traditional, strong camber placed underfoot and shifted towards the back ensures stability, outstanding edge hold during ascents, and powerful pop. The front and back of the board are equipped with rocker zones to prevent diving in the snow and facilitate maneuvering between trees. 

• Carbon-FleX Construction (100% Carbon Fiber): In this version, traditional fiberglass is omitted. The core is fully laminated with multi-layered, triaxial carbon fiber (Full Triaxial Carbon). Engineers at the GP87 factory have managed to eliminate the main drawback of carbon – the board is not stiff, nervous, or "dead". It works smoothly and naturally like a classic snowboard, offering unprecedented lightness. 
• Ultralight Precision Core: Selected, vertically laminated paulownia wood combined with bamboo and aluminum stringers. This provides an excellent weight-to-strength ratio and great vibration dampening in varied snow.
• Polyurethane Sidewalls (Seamless PU Sidewalls): Seamless polyurethane sides brilliantly absorb vibrations, which is crucial in lightweight carbon boards, protecting the construction from edge hits and delamination during ascents. 
• ELECTRA Base: Highest class sintered base with added graphite. Guarantees racing acceleration and prevents loss of speed on long, flat backcountry stretches. 
• Factory Clips and Covers: The splitboard is equipped with the highest class locks and clips (Phantom Hercules or Karakoram), ensuring rigid connection of both halves of the board. Heels are protected with aluminum tail protection (Aluminum Tail Protection) protecting against delamination when piercing the board into the snow.

• Flex: Stiff / Responsive (7/10): The stiffness is perfectly balanced. The board offers full confidence at high speeds in steep gullies, while providing a sufficiently flexible transverse turn, making it extremely agile and predictable. 
• Size 158 Specification: The waist width is 259 mm, ensuring great stability, no boot drag, and optimal flotation for riders weighing up to about 88-90 kg.
