Amplid Big Kahuna is a unique, highly specialized model from the legendary, experimental series Future Shapes Line. This board was designed with one main goal: to completely eliminate the problem of boot drag for snowboarders with larger foot sizes (size 10.5 and above). Offering a substantial waist width of 27.6 cm, the Big Kahuna redefines the concept of a wide snowboard. Unlike traditional "Wide" models, which can be stiff and cumbersome, Peter Bauer's design features a very accessible, medium flex of 6-7/10. It is an agile and precise all-mountain machine for deep carving and powder surfing.

• Extreme board width (27.6 cm waist) with no compromises: The huge surface area guarantees surreal buoyancy and effortless float in the deepest powder. On prepared slopes, this width allows for turning at extreme angles (euro-carve) without the risk of boots or heels touching the snow and destabilizing the ride. 
• Tapered Outline Geometry with Cut-out Tail: The board shape noticeably narrows towards the rear, and the tail profile is finished with a rounded cut-out. This design slightly reduces the surface area right behind the back foot, causing the tail to naturally dip into the powder, while the nose lifts effortlessly. This system retains a long effective edge, ensuring full stability in turns and landings. 
• Cruise Camber Profile with Early Rise technology: A proven, lowered camber profile under the feet provides powerful energy, stability, and classic pop. The subtle, early lift of the front section before the contact points (Early Rise) makes it drastically easier to maneuver this wide board, ensuring agile and smooth edge-to-edge transitions.

• HEXO2 Frame Weight Reduction: To prevent such a massive, wide structure from weighing down the rider and creating lateral resistance, heavy wood layers were removed from the massive nose area. They were replaced with ultra-light, eco-friendly honeycomb structure inserts, drastically reducing the swing weight and making the board exceptionally maneuverable in tight areas. 
• Light and Responsive Omni Core: Selected, mechanically durable core made of 100% poplar wood. It features excellent elastic memory, providing a springy and lively board performance underfoot, which excellently absorbs shocks and slope irregularities. 
• Biax Glassing laminate: The biaxial fiberglass ensures optimal torsional flexibility. It makes the board more forgiving underfoot, allowing you to control your ride path more from your feet than your entire body and facilitates precise edging without needing to exert huge physical force. 
• Ultra-fast Sintered 7 HD Base: A top-class sintered base with very high molecular density. It features excellent speed parameters, great glide, and maximum wax absorption in all thermal conditions.
