The Singular from Amplid is probably the best candidate for the so-called "one-board quiver" you can currently find on the market. Peter Bauer (the brand's founder) designed this model with a simple assumption: the board should perform equally well on the morning's firm corduroy, in the afternoon's slushy mess, and in deep powder if it suddenly dumps overnight. And it really worked.
How does it work in practice?
The construction is based on the Cruise Camber profile. It's a classic, proven camber with a slightly raised nose (early rise). Thanks to this, the Singular has incredible pop, holds an edge brilliantly on ice, and you don't need to exert force on your back leg to stay afloat in powder. The edge hold is further supported by Pontoon Beams carbon strips in the binding area – they prevent the board from twisting, so even at full speed in a long turn, you ride like on rails.
However, the greatest advantage of the Singular is how it handles bumps. Amplid included their Viscodamp 2.0 damping system here. If you happen to ride at the end of the day when the slope resembles a minefield full of moguls and frozen clumps, you'll appreciate this solution from the first descent.
