Sims EXP 2027 is an advanced technology All-Mountain / Freestyle snowboard designed with young riders and those seeking equipment for progressive riding in mind. This design focuses on a harmonious blend of stability, control, and versatility, allowing for smooth transitions from the first precise edge turns to advanced sessions in the snow park. • Youth Camber Profile with Catch-Free Zones: The hybrid camber profile geometry is adapted for the lower weight and specific riding characteristics of younger riders. The classic camber in the area between the bindings guarantees excellent edge hold, stability at higher speeds, and strong pop. The key enhancement is the specially raised transition zones (catch-free) at the nose and tail of the board, which drastically minimize the risk of accidental edge catching, facilitating smooth turn initiation.
• Symmetrical Twin Shape: The fully symmetrical geometry of the board (the same shape and flex at the nose and tail) provides the perfect platform for learning to ride switch, doing rotational tricks (spins), and creative play with butters on the slope. This allows for an even skill development in both technical and freestyle riding.
• MOD 2 Core Wooden Core: The heart of the construction is a highly durable, lightweight core made from selected poplar and paulownia wood. It is designed to withstand tremendous overloads, impacts on obstacles in the park, or technical errors on the slope, maintaining its original elasticity and profile through many seasons of intensive use.
• Bias Fiberglass Laminate (Biaxial Fiberglass): The use of bi-directional weave of fiberglass gives the board optimal torsional stiffness, while keeping it very flexible lengthwise. Such a configuration means the board is forgiving, smoothly dampens vibrations, and doesn’t tire the legs, while offering a large reserve of energy (pop) necessary for learning jumps and dynamic take-offs.
• Easy Glide Base: Low-maintenance extruded base with increased molecular density. It features excellent hydrodynamic properties, ensuring consistent speed and smooth glide in all conditions – from morning groomers to spring slush. It is highly scratch-resistant and easy to repair if needed.
