It is well-maintained, sharp, and waxed as seen in the photos. No scratches, chips, or machine marks. I rate its condition as very good.

The Sims ATV is the all-terrain team favorite of Sims. This board performs in all conditions and terrains. As the name suggests, ATV is a legendary board that rides on everything. It holds an edge firmly, switches edges excellently, and with its long tips, it performs well not only on hard slopes but also off-trail. A very good board for someone venturing into difficult terrain, it makes many things easier. It's also very good for someone who isn't confident on steep, hard slopes. The ATV helps in such places, providing a great sense of confidence. A board for intermediate and very skilled riders.  

The ATV employs the SIMS MOD 3 core, a combination of North American poplar wood and bamboo, offering a high strength-to-weight ratio, with two parallel bamboo stringers running from tip to tail below the hole pattern. Two carbon stringers, our Double I-Carbon Wide layout, run alongside, beyond the bamboo stringers. We cover the ATV with our Tri-Tex fiberglass laminate, our most advanced matrix used in top-of-the-line Sims boards. Together, these elements provide plenty of pop and smooth rebound when turning, regardless of conditions. Classic, powerful design.

Flexible Thin Tip technology reduces material at the board's ends, providing less swing weight during rotations. Snake Bite Tech 1.8 mm sticks well on top thanks to four extra contact points in the heel and toe area, affording the rider better edge hold and peace of mind in icy and hard conditions. The ATV rides on the SIMS Premium Racing Base, our fastest glide option.

Traditional camber

A single convex arc between the board's contact points provides predictable edge hold, load, and rebound during the application and release of pressure when the rider turns.

MOD 3

A blend of North American poplar wood and bamboo with a high strength-to-weight ratio provides the core's driving properties. We've increased the bamboo's width to boost strength and energy of this core.

Tip to tail construction

This is a traditional construction featuring a full wood core from tip to tail, offering smooth riding, stability, and durability.

Flexible Thin Tip ends

This weight-reducing technology lessens material at the board's tip and tail, resulting in reduced "swing weight," making rotations and tricks easier and faster to perform.

Sintered Premium Racing base

This base uses high-density and high-speed base material, selected for its molecular weight, which provides unparalleled speed, excellent wear resistance, and increased wax absorption. 

Tri-Tex fiberglass

Our most advanced matrix is a 3-directional layout that combines lightweight fiberglass at 0°, 45°, and 90°, providing unrivaled pop, rebound, flexibility, and torsion in our highest-performance boards.

Double Carbon strips

Two carbon stringers running from tip to tail down the center of the core increase torsional rigidity, ensuring better response, pop, and control.

Sims snowboards is a legendary company founded in 1963. Created by Tom Sims, just as he created the first snowboard and snowboarder. He built the first halfpipe, lobbied the skiing community to let us on lifts, organized the first competitions, and created the first professional team (Tom, Craig Kelly, Kidwell, Salasnek, Palmer). His visions are today's snowboarding. 

As early as the 60s, Tom Sims explored ideas of combining skateboarding and surfing with snow. In his school woodshop in seventh grade in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Tom hand-built the first snowboard. This board is now on display at the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum in Vail, Colorado. In 1963, Tom founded the SIMS brand; perhaps the world's first surf, skate, and snow brand. 

No skiing, but surfing and skateboarding. Those were Tom's roots and informed his entire approach to snowboarding. The distinction was crucial. For SIMS, it was always about freestyle and fun. Not scoring points. And growing outward from this utopian vision of self-expression through radical actions, the culture bloomed. 

From the beginning, Sims relied on riders to guide and develop every product. This inclusive DIY approach set the standard, enabling progress in everything from construction and production innovations to technological and product breakthroughs that changed the paradigm. First board with metal edges, first pro model; first double-strap bindings, first folding highback, first women’s board, and so on. Over decades. Today, SIMS exists to celebrate the past, support progress in the present, and push snowboarding forward into the future.
