The new freestyle model Aurum achieves its maximum pop thanks to two 50-millimeter carbon strings integrated with the board's core. One string runs from nose to center, and the other from tail to center. This innovative design provides rebound effect both at the nose and tail, enhancing pop and responsiveness, with a slight twist improving maneuverability and control in all conditions.

Sims snowboards is a legendary company founded in 1963. It was created by Tom Sims, who also created the first snowboard and snowboarder. He dug the first halfpipe, lobbied the skiing community to allow us on lifts, organized the first competitions, and built the first professional team (Tom, Craig Kelly, Kidwell, Salasnek, Palmer). His visions are today's snowboarding. 

As early as the 1960s, Tom Sims explored ideas for combining skateboarding and surfing with snow. In his school workshop in the seventh grade in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Tom hand-built the first snowboard. This board is currently exhibited at the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum in Vail, Colorado. In 1963, Tom founded the SIMS brand; possibly the world's first surfing, skate, and snow brand. 

Not skiing, but surfing and skateboarding. These were Tom's roots and informed his entire approach to snowboarding. The distinction was crucial. For SIMS, it was always about freestyle and fun. Not scoring points. And growing outward from this utopian vision of self-expression through radical actions, the culture flourished. 

From the beginning, Sims relied on riders to direct and develop every product. This inclusive DIY approach set the standard, enabling progress in everything from construction and production innovations to technological and product breakthroughs that changed the paradigm. The first board with metal edges, the first pro model; the first dual-strap bindings, the first folding highback, the first women's board, and so on. For decades. Today, SIMS exists to celebrate the past, support progress in the present, and push snowboarding forward into the future.
