This board is used and shows normal signs of use. It's one of our demonstration boards used for testing.

It is in perfect condition, which I would rate as: almost new board. It is hand-sharpened, waxed, just needs to be scraped (which we will do) and it will be ready to ride.

The medium stiffness Vanilla is best suited for quite versatile female riders. The great versatility of this board is what our ladies love. On Vanilla, you can truly handle both carving on groomed slopes, as well as explore deep powder and steep hills, but there's also nothing stopping you from jumping in the park or landing switch. The board is unique and rarely seen in Europe, with little chance of encountering someone with the same board!

SIMS Vanilla is a symmetric Twin Tip with our Transform Camber, flat camber transitioning to traditional Camber just before the contact points. Vanilla is built on the SIMS MOD 3 core profile, combining North American poplar wood and a high strength-to-weight ratio bamboo core with two parallel bamboo stringers running from tip to tail under the insert pattern. Carbon stringers overlay the bamboo, our Double I-Carbon layout, to increase torsional stiffness and overall response. The flexible Thin Tip technology reduces material at the board ends, ensuring less swing weight during rotations. Coated with Tri-Tex fiberglass, SIMS’ most advanced 3D matrix, and finished with a sintered Racing Premium base.

Transform Camber combines the best of both flat and traditional contours, offering the edge hold of conventional camber with the loose flexibility of flat camber, providing a lively, intuitive ride that feels both free and controlled.

MOD 3 Wood Core

Combining North American poplar wood and high strength-to-weight ratio bamboo provides the driving characteristics of this core. We've increased the bamboo's width to enhance the core's strength and energy.

This is a traditional construction featuring a full wood core from tip to tail, ensuring a smooth ride, stability, and durability.

Double Wave Form

This patented construction adds depth and dimension to the wooden core underfoot, providing flexibility and control.

Sintered Premium Racing Base

This base uses a high-density, high-speed base material chosen for its molecular weight, offering unmatched speed, excellent abrasion resistance, and increased wax permeability.

Bi-Tex Fiberglass

This layout's standard fiberglass at angles of 0° and 90° creates a soft yet stable flex, ideal for beginners and riders looking for a flexible, easy-pressing, playful park ride.

Two Carbon Strips

Sims snowboards is a legendary company founded in 1963. It was created by Tom Sims, just as he created the first snowboard and snowboarder. He dug the first halfpipe, lobbied the ski community to let us on the lifts, organized the first competitions, and built the first professional Team (Tom, Craig Kelly, Kidwell, Salasnek, Palmer). His visions are today's snowboarding.

Tom Sims was exploring ideas to combine skateboarding and surfing with snow as early as the 60s. In his seventh-grade woodshop in Haddonfield, New Jersey, Tom hand-built the first snowboard. This board is currently on display at the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Museum in Vail, Colorado. In 1963, Tom founded the brand SIMS; possibly the first surf, skate, and snow brand in the world.

Not skiing, but surfing and skateboarding. These were Tom's roots, and they informed his entire approach to snowboarding. The distinction was key. For SIMS it was always about freestyle and fun. Not scoring points. And growing outside of this utopian vision of self-expression through radical action, a culture flourished.

From the beginning, Sims relied on riders to guide and develop every product. This inclusive DIY approach set a standard, enabling progression in everything from construction and production innovations to technological and product breakthroughs that shifted paradigms. The first board with metal edges, the first pro model; the first dual-strap bindings, the first folding highback, the first women's board, and so on. Through decades. Today SIMS exists to honor the past, support progress in the present, and push snowboarding forward into the future.
