Telos Backslash Splitboard for the 2023/2024 season is an award-winning and highly regarded masterpiece of Volume Shifted / Alternative Freeride engineering in the USA. According to the "Volume Shifted" concept, it is a short but very wide board, which allows you to choose a model 4 to 8 cm shorter than a standard splitboard, without losing buoyancy in powder. This splitboard is used and shows normal signs of use, such as scratches and small chips. We have not found any hidden defects in this board. I assess the condition of the edges and base as good. 

Comes with dedicated, cut Kohla skins, and sometimes a glue replacement may be recommended. 

The regular price of this top model is about 3900 PLN without skins.

Following the "Volume Shifted" concept, it is a short but very wide board, which allows choosing a model that is 4 to 8 cm shorter than the standard splitboard without losing float in powder. This ensures a radical reduction in swing weight, facilitating ascents, maneuvering in tight forests, and technical turns on slopes.

Shape & Profile
  • Tapered Directional Shape (17 mm Taper): A dominant, wide front (nose) tapers drastically towards the back of the board. This ensures effortless nose lift in deep snow without straining the back leg. The geometry is designed for a fully centered stance, reducing muscle fatigue in powder.
  • Setback Camber Profile with High Nose Rocker: Traditional, strong camber starting 25 mm behind the center of the board ensures excellent support underfoot, energy, and stability. The long rocker nose immediately "pushes" the splitboard to the surface of fresh snow.
  • Multi-Radial Sidecut: Specially designed, multi-radial sidecut facilitates smooth and stable deep carving on groomed runs, easing the turn entry phase. 
Construction and Materials
  • Transition Control Core (Poplar & Paulownia) Core: The core is designed and built as two individual ski cores. In ascent mode, this provides perfectly balanced flex for each ski, facilitating movement on the skin track. The addition of X-Wood technology reinforces the zones under the bindings transversely. 
  • Fiber-FleX (Triax) Laminate: Lightweight triaxial fiberglass woven over and under the core ensures proper pop, dynamic energy return, and low weight of the entire setup. 
  • Durable Top ECO Textured Nylon: The top layer is made from eco-friendly castor oil beans. Its texture prevents edge rash during ascents when skis rub against each other. 
  • ELECTRA Base (PTEX 4000) Sintered Base: The fastest, high-performance sintered base infused with graphite. Provides excellent acceleration and glide on flat terrain sections. 
Splitboard Systems and Finish
  • Phantom Hercules Clips: Equipped with ultra-light, durable, and flat connecting clasps that securely lock both halves of the board into one unit.
  • Ceramic Edge Tune & Aluminum Protection: Edges (both internal and external) are factory sharpened with ceramic. Tips are protected with aluminum protectors against delamination.
