- Directional Freeride Design: The board has a noticeably longer, wide nose (front) and a shorter, characteristic swallowtail.
- 10mm Taper & Setback: The narrowing of the board towards the back and moving the binding mounting point back, naturally lets the rear sink into the snow while the front effortlessly "surfs" above the surface of the deepest powder.
- Freeride Camber Profile: Classic camber underfoot guarantees strong edge hold, stability at high speeds, and energy, while early rise rocker on the nose and tail makes maneuvering in tight couloirs and forests easier.
Key Technologies (Why Carbon DFD?)
What distinguishes the Carbon DFD version is the advanced dampening architecture and construction:
- 100% Triax Carbon (Carbon-Flex): Instead of traditional fiberglass, entirely triple-woven carbon fiber is used. This makes the splitboard extremely lightweight on ascents and at the same time incredibly stiff across and responsive during descents.
- DFD™ (Dual Frequency Dampening) + D3O®: Carbon boards can be twitchy and transmit vibrations. Telos addresses this by implementing intelligent material D3O® and polyurethane and titanal inserts. DFD effectively filters micro-vibrations. This makes the Lemurian Carbon one of the best dampened and stable boards on the market – it rides like a "tank," expertly cutting arcs on ice, concrete, and variable, chunky snow.
- Precision / Transition Control Core: A lightweight core made of poplar and paulownia wood, reinforced with X-Wood stringers, designed as two independent ski halves. This provides ideal, balanced flex during skinning and monolithic stiffness when the board is fastened.
- RAD Bumps Edges: Special waved edges (equivalent to Magne-Traction) increase the number of contact points with the snow, providing absolute support on icy traverses and steep slopes.
- Electra Sintered PTEX 4000 Base: Top-quality sintered base with graphite addition. Absorbs large amounts of wax, providing atomic acceleration even in very cold, dry snow.
