This splitboard is used, it shows normal signs of use, there are scratches and small chips. We have not found any hidden defects in this board. I rate the condition of the edges and base as very good.

The Telos Backslash Splitboard for the 2023/2024 season is a multi-award-winning and highly respected US-engineered masterpiece of Volume Shifted / Alternative Freeride design. According to the "Volume Shifted" concept, it is a shortboard but very wide, allowing for a model choice 4 to 8 cm shorter than a standard splitboard without losing floatation in powder. This results in a radical reduction of the swing weight, making it easier to hike, maneuver in tight trees, and perform technical turns on the slope.

Shape & Profile
  • Tapered Directional Shape (17 mm Taper): A powerful, wide nose drastically tapers towards the tail of the board. This ensures effortless nose lift in deep snow without overloading the back foot. The geometry is designed so that you can stand in a fully centered position in powder, reducing muscle fatigue.
  • Setback Camber Profile with Large Nose Rocker: Traditional, powerful camber starting 25 mm behind the center of the board guarantees excellent support underfoot, energy, and stability. The long nose with rocker immediately "pops" the splitboard to the surface of fresh snow.
  • Multi-Radial Sidecut: Specially designed multi-radius sidecut enables smooth and stable carving of deep arcs on groomed trails, easing the entry phase into the turn. 
Construction and Materials
  • Transition Control Core (Poplar & Paulownia): The core is designed and built as two individual ski cores. In climbing mode, this provides perfectly balanced flex of each ski and eases movement along the skin track. The addition of X-Wood technology provides lateral stiffness in the binding areas. 
  • Fiber-FleX Laminate (Triax): Lightweight triaxial fiberglass woven above and below the core ensures proper pop, dynamic energy return, and the low mass of the entire set. 
  • Durable Top ECO Textured Nylon: The top layer is produced from eco-friendly castor beans. Its texture prevents damage and edge rash during climbing when skis rub against each other. 
  • ELECTRA Base (PTEX 4000): The fastest, high-performance sintered base impregnated with graphite. Provides excellent acceleration and glide on flat terrain sections. 
Splitboard Systems and Finish
  • Phantom Hercules Clips: Equipped with ultra-light, durable, and flat connecting clasps that rigidly lock both halves of the board into a single unit.
  • Ceramic Edge Tune & Aluminium Protection: Edges (both internal and external) are factory-sharpened with ceramic. Tips are protected with aluminium guards against delamination. 
Riding Characteristics and Flex
  • Flex: Stiff / Responsive (7/10): Provides a sense of absolute stability and security in technical, steep terrain, and during aggressive edge pressing.
